Seats about 20 or so, small neighborhood pizzeria joint. A Handful menu list, which is rotated weekly, dishing up only the best and using only the freshest ingredients. It is absolute perfection thin; crisp, but not too crisp and dummy savory that it doesn't really need all those delicious toppings although they are a great addition. Everything they offer is extraordinary, from the appetizers all the way down to the smoothest Blue Bottle Coffee cappuccino. Exclusive toppings make this place irresistible. Great vegetarian selections too!! Casual, nice little date spot. Keep your eyes peeled, blink and you'll miss it, but maybe that's what makes it a hidden little gem. Recommended by Taro

This place is really gorgeous. The atmosphere is wonderful with a very chic yet modern decor, with an Asian twist! The ambiance is very relaxing and makes me feel like on vacation. The menu has a lot of choices of fusion Sushi and Sashimi. Each dish has its own unique style and flavor. They really get creative with the plate presentation and I appreciate that. The prices are surprisingly reasonable. Shiki is very successful. At this bad economic time, they open their fourth location in San Carlos. Recommended by Mike |

The only kappou style restaurant in San Francisco! Their menu is unique. First, you pick one material and then choose how to cook; such as sashimi, nimono, yakimono and so on. We were amazed on how good everything was. The presentation was really nice and everything was really tasty. Seeing is believing! Let's try!

BIg Eye Garlic Tataki

Assorted Sushi

Ishiyaki Rib Eye

Bento Box

Fuki Sushi has a great atmosphere (nice décor, comfortable seats and quiet environment) and the staff is very helpful, polite and pleasant.
Not only do they have such a diverse menu, but they also have a lot of special menus as well. They also have so many selections of wine and premium sake.
The food is tasty and well-presented. The sushi is awesome. The fish is fresh and it is so tasty.
I was very impressed with the Big Eye Garlic Tataki (fried renkon chip with seared big eye in a garlic ponzu sauce) and Ishiyaki dishes such as the Rib Eye or Wagyu.
A private room is perfect for a business meal.

When I walked into Sebo, the ambiance of the restaurant gave me an impression of a very stylish “casual dining.” It made me think, “Hayes Street has really changed!” Sebo’s sushi menu consists mainly of nigiri instead of rolls and the portions were perfect for one bite and the fish were so fresh. It was a very nice surprise when I heard the owners’ names, Michael and Daniel. (I was expecting Japanese owners with Japanese chefs!) The way they present the sushi dishes have a similarity to sushi restaurants in New York City. Their wonderful selection of sake is also a huge plus. Orion beer is the only beer on the menu and this shows the owners’ love for Okinawa. In my opinion, Japanese beer is the best! Not only the good sushi, but you can get variety at Sebo. On Sundays, they serve Izakaya menu. So if you don’t feel like having sushi, but have a craving for some good Japanese food, go to Sebo on Sundays! address: |
